back cutting small radiused mouldings on the shaper

here`s how i approach the task, down-n-dirty mdf throwaway jigs `cause the likelyhood of having to cut the same parts in the same fashion is next to nill and scrap is plentyfull.....

ready for runnin` the "guard" is a holddown too, that`s why the screws are loose.
    Attachment 627
guard removed, notice the copious amount of "woodlube"....(wax)

shot of the "straights" and the radiuses after the first pass

ready to sand and hopefully cut correctly the first time

VERY cool Tod, nice to see how it is done.

I'd love to have MDF here to play with, but it is just about as expensive as hardwood here....

    Cheers!

chris, i cut the miters by marking the long-n-short points on a fullscale drawing then freehand on the mitersaw...tod
