    For Those Making CBGs

Here is a little variation of the CigarBox Guitar that is just as fun and easy to make. It is called a strum stick (I think). The neck and sides of the box are all one piece. It is fretted like a Dulcimer (forgot what they call it) but very simple to pick out tunes on and they really sound nice. Just thought I show it, because there seem to be some interest in this sort of thing here.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I built that one I posted the picture of.

These are the people that claim they have rights to the name "Strumstick" and I certainly can't argue with them. Theirs' are somewhat more advanced than mine.

    Interesting web site.
They do liken it to a dulcimer. We have a lot of dulcimer players in the Ozarks. A famous saying about dulcimers is "there ain't no note on a dulcimer. Ye jes play it."

I'll send you a copy of the plan I worked from. It's not much but they are simple and using it and looking at pictures, I was able to do it.
