    Large NE Hickory Bowl - Larry's Generosity

    It's been over 2.5 years since Larry was kind enough to give me a few big chunks of hickory. After setting/spalting for a year, and then another year of drying, I finally got one of the chunks finished.

    It was a doozie of a piece to turn, but it was worth the effort.

    Natural Edge Hickory Bowl
    Dimensions: 10.5”x20.5”x20.5”

    Matt that's a bute.I do love hickory but like you they are a bear ounce it's dry.

    Worth the effort for sure great looking NE Hutch Larry does have the knack at finding nice wood

    Wow, that is a biggun. You did a very nice job on it, too.

    I'm just getting the final finish on a very pretty chunk of Larry wood myself. It's what we've come to expect out of the old guy.
