    Playing around

    And had an idea for a trophy for my office fantasy football league. I call it "The Infamous Lomburti Trophy". I just glued up some scraps and went to it. I wasn't sure what the wood for the football was until I got it turned (Poplar) and needed to dye it (it wouldn't take a stain very well). I hand carved the seams and Cherry laces. Walnut base, Minwax Polycrylic finish.

    Thanks, Ed, and yes, I glued them on with CA.
