    puter help!!!

    i need a free software to burn my pictures to a DVD not a cd.. i have treid to get this thing to recognize it has a dvd and it wont cooperate!!! so if anyont can hook me up witha free download link i would appreciate it.. thanks

    What OS are you running? Does the drive have a label on the door that says DVD R or DVD R/W? And I assume you are using a DVD R or DVD R/W disc?

    For windows I've used Power2Go (free version):

    Worked well for my needs.

    There are also different versions of recorders "DVD-R" and "DVD+R" if you have a "-R" is will not accept a "+R" DVD and vice versa. I know there is a way to check the version of burner you have but don't remember where to check. Note: most new burners will accept both versions.

    ok catch up here,, i have a dvd+r and the same kind of disc tom..and i will go tot yur link darren its a pc with xp home version.

    Might check in your 'device manager' to be sure it's enabled and or that it possibly needs the driver updated...just a thought!

    I had the same thing happen to me Larry and ended up having to replace the the drive with a new one.

    thanks darren that worked just fine and is nice program.. and rennie. the least amount of letters i need to use the better chance i have for understanding
