    Need Help Identifing Some Wood

LOML came home with a box full of wood strips she planned on using for kindling. I immediately saw a project for them so I traded her some pieces from my scrap bin. (More on the project when I get one finished)

I'm just not sure what kind of wood it is. Any help appreciated!

The flecks look like beech to me too. Nice wood.
