turning the crankshaft is what really blew my mind. getting the offsets perfect on the lathe for each section.. just baffled me completely. The cams as well.
That would make sense because I see no fuel source or ignition. It could be diesel but it still needs a fuel source.
Not to take anything away from the workmanship! That is a talented and patient machinist.
That is amazing! I'm guessing it runs on model airplane fuel, thus the one hose going to the intake. No oil needed for the crankshaft, and I bet the cams were for show...I didn't see any valves, and a model airplane engine wouldn't use that anyway. Think of it as a 2 stroke diesel. But I think he'd go nuts trying to work with wood!!!!! Jim.
I think it is certainly running on some kind of fuel, near the end some items are placed on the engine and are noted, I google translated the notations......
