Elm burl HF

I had turned this HF a few months ago but did not like the finial. While doing a little cleaning up, I decided to turn a new finial for it. The HF is 8 inches tall including finial. Finish is a few coats of tung oil, buffed to a soft sheen. The finial is Holly (dyed black). Comments and critiques welcome.

Dennis, This is a great looking piece. The wood grain is fantastic and the finial fits just right. Nice job!

That wood is so beautiful. There is something about the shape that does not sit well with me. But, that does not matter as the gorgeous wood makes me forget about everything else.
