Thanks for sharing the link Dan. Did you see the one of a giant fir being transported through town.
Thing that struck me was the size of logs in any of those pics.
We humans sure know how to make short work of things it takes years for nature to create. Aint just thinking trees either. Then we complaint about termites

I had the same thought.

Interesting pictures. My grandfather and g-grandfather were loggers in the Florida panhandle.
I still have two short section of pine (would be about 10" diameter) salvaged from a barn my g-gf built about 1895.
Not showing the logs but here is the oxen team.
