    Bowling in rental shoes

    one of these days I'll get it figured out

    Not quite the bowl I envisioned as my first, but as a candy dish, it'll do
    Mahogany, 5.75" x 1.5"

    Thanks guys, it was an interesting go...1/2" spindle gouge and no idea what I was doing I had a semi-nasty catch doing the outside, which led to the 'unusually interestingly different' look which, by the way, the wife describes as "similar to the bottom of a plant holder/pot" aw well, I don't bowl Click image for larger version.
