Either the demonstrator is a lot better than the other people that I have seen demonstrate Lei Nielsen planes or this particular plane is a lot easier for installing and adjusting the iron. It would be interesting to know which.
From what I had seen and done, the Nielsen was much slower and more difficult to remove, replace, and adjust the iron correctly than the Lee Valley Veritas planes. Glenn and I have several Veritas planes; not because we thought Nielsen planes were poor quality, but because of the rapidity, ease and accuracy of iron changes and adjustments with the Veritas.
