Well, I couldn't find the picture that I had taken of this piece of Morado when I first bought it, but I took another picture and here it is.
I can see why the lady changed her mind on using Morado. Try to picture 8000 sq. ft. of this kind of wood for your flooring. Personally, I think I'd be looney toon after a short time looking at it on the floor.
It has beautiful black grain and is hard as a brick and very heavy. The piece I have is 1" X 6" X 6' and I'm guessing weighs about 8 pounds. In fact the guy at the lumber yard said to be ready to get blades sharpened often when working with this wood.
