Purchased this item recently and believe I got about everything that was supposed to be with it originally, plus some extra. One item I am short is the operators manual. I tried using the manual for a later model but it has different features for adjusting the feed system. If anyone would happen to have a manual for this filer I would be gland to compensate them for a copy of the pages that show the feed system adjustment.

On another note, I also received 5 additional bars that I believe may go to a machine that cuts new teeth in a hand saw. Each bar is 1/4" X 5/8" X 38 1/4" long. They all have flat topped teeth on the one edge of the bar of different sizes. On top of each bar near the end is a number: 7-4; 8-4 1/4:9-5; 10 - 5 1/2; 11-6. I have no idea what these numbers mean but I bet one of you guys would know. I don't think I have any use for them so if you know what they are for and have a use for them, they could be bought at a reasonable price.

Thanks much for any help you can shed.

Ryan Mooney,

Yes, the 387 is close but that only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. That manual talks about two adjusting knobs that are not present on the model 200. Also, there is a block that pivots on the top of file arm and activates the feed finger on the model 200 that is not show in the 387 manual. I got everything else OK but the feed length adjustment. Thank for your input Ryan Mooney.

There are a bunch more info here: http://sawfiler.blogspot.com/
From what little I know (and it is very little) there may have been a couple of versions of the 200..

Try this manual and see if it fits, its for the newer 1000, but that may be closer to yours:

http://www.greenestegg.com/downloads/SawFiler/foley_filer_manual_200_SF1000.pdf

he also talks about the feed here where he says its a blend of the 61 and the 387, so maybe cross checking between those two manuals will get you rolling:

BTW: would love to see some pictures :thumb:

Two Model 200's

Yes, there was two different model 200 machines. On was a Automatic Saw Filer and the other was a key duplicating unit.

Will try and get some photos posted of the Foley Model 200 and an old version of the Foley Belsaw Model 1055 sharp all machine.

The saw filer blog did have some feeder instructions that had photos of the Model 200 feed system. I think with that I may be able to get it to work right. On a correction note, I have stated my 1055 is a Foley-Belsaw. that is incorrect as the machine is a Belsaw Model 10550, which is prior to the merger of Foley and Belsaw. Makes my old iron a few years older.

Just posted some photos for the iron. Also, I have a copy of the original manual for the Saw Filer located. Now to get it bought !
