    Shop built hand tools

I'm watchin' Tom's turning saw thread, and like Tom, I like makin' some of the tools I use (I'm also a hardcore tightwad and hate spending more than $5.00 at a time). Any how I'm posting some pictures of a few tools that I have built from walnut and maple that I harvested from my farm.

An interesting problem to solve: how do you cut the curved parts for your first turning saw? I used a drawknife and spokeshave. It was slow; but worked.

What that Ken said, this Ken will repeat. Nice work Dennis. I like to make some of my own tools too. That and rehab old ones that have been neglected.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
