Which one looks more appealing, the fish swimming Upstream or Downstream?

The barrels are laser cut inlays I purchased using African Blackwood and 6 BOW fish. Finished with 6 coats of MINWAX Oil Modified Water Based Clear Satin Polyurethane.

The first pen is Sierra Ti Gold/Black Ti with an Aussie Pacifica Tapa Cap Band and Center Band with the fish swimming Upstream.

The second pen is a Elegant Beauty Ti Gold/Platinum with the fish swimming Downstream.

I'd have to go with 'up-stream'...a lot of fish species swim upstream to spawn, that's good enough for me LOL
They also face the current to hold their place at times, for territorial reasons and oxygen content{more water across the gills = more oxygen} and at other times that's the likely direction food will be coming from.
I'd be happy with both versions....well done :thumb:

My preference is the downstream version (swimming toward the nib). I think the fish should be looking at what the pen is writing instead of the hand that's holding it. ;)

Fine-looking work, by the way. :thumb:
