ID:	66858My oldest sons best friend went to the beach a few weeks ago. She brought home a bunch of shells as most folks do that ain't from there. Well Seth asked me to incorperate one as a finial in a HF for her. So this was his favorate shell, placed on a piece of elm. Not real sure of it ,but he really likes it. So i guess that's what counts.

i am not sure if it is a good mix or not steve,, but i do like the wood choice, the color in the wood does go with the shell well..just not enough of a artist to say anything else bud

Different and interesting. Like Larry, I am not sure about the mix either but if the recipient is pleased then that is all that matters.

Cool piece Steve. I did the same thing on some lidded boxes. Put sea shells on them as momento's of our trip.

An excellent idea as a memento. I can see something like that bringing back memories for many years.

    Enjoy,

Although I'm not sold on the shell, it's a great little hollow form, and if the "customer" loves it, who's to argue?
