    From Afganastan

My son (the short one standing, 2nd from the left) posted this on Facebook. Someone sent them a bunch of cigars so to thank them they posted this on FB. He is the senior medical person on staff in some remote location but he can't tell me where. This if his 4th deployment.

I don't know about the cigars, HOWEVER, Fourth deployment really sucks.

    Thanks to your son Don.

Thanks to you also. It's not an easy life.

Glad they got to enjoy some relaxing time with a cigar.

They deserve that and a whole lot more.

Well said Karl. Especially the last line.

I'll second (third), they do deserve that and a whole lot more...pass along our thanks to them. Hope they get to come home soon.

Four deployments is three too many. They take a toll on families and relationships that exceeds compensation, even in an all volunteer force. It's a shame that military benefits are under attack by congress...they are easy targets...it's one place the military can't fight back!
