There is a thread over at Woodnet where someone is doing a group build of a metal smoother, including casting the mold. It is based on an article in Joel Moskowitz's Work Magazine Reprint project. I have been following this build since the beginning and I find it fascinating. I only wished I signed up for the build. If they have another, I will.
