Looking for a new 4.5" (or 5" that doesn't have to much hardware in the way of a 4.5" wheel) angle grinder that I can more safely use a 4.5" carving disk on than my old 4" grinder I'm not going back there

I'm leaning towards considering the Metabo, but could be convinced otherwise.
I'd like:
- Selectable variable speed
- decent guard
- 5/8" spindle (standard) and 7/8" bushing (available at least if not actually included)
- finger/paddle switch, not a toggle (I want it to turn OFF if my hand leaves the handle for some reason)
- soft start preferred
- sturdy machine
