Oh, well.

Making a simple (yep, sure....) project for my wife.
A couple cup hangers for the side of a cabinet.
Got some Shaker pegs, drilled the 1/2" hole specified. Peg won't go.
Measured peg, about 9/16". Test drilled. That size too big. :bang:
What size is between 1/2" and 9/16"? Answer, not anything likely to be in the average shop.
Finally got crude and just reduced the peg part of the pegs on my 1" sander/grinder belt.
Now I'm happy. :D Sorta.

13mm, Frank. And yeah, I've got them in both twist drill and brad point. :D

I'm surprised you didn't just chuck the pegs in your lathe and turn them to the right size. ...for that matter, how come you didn't just make the pegs yourself?

sometimes even the spinny folks realize that flat methods are engrained and the tool that they have in there shop that is made to make things round isnt the way to do it????

The part that would chuck was the part needing reduction.
Yep, shoulda turned my own. Usually do for things like this. Next time.
