Its been a cold and wet long weekend so I sat down in the warm office and finished this one off, its only been a month. Supposedly its redgum but the color is all wrong, smells similar but not quite.
Stand 6.5"x 4.4" and finished with DO and a light buff

After my brief foray into the world of carving on the knights I did, I have a whole new respect for those that carve!
Was this power carved and then sanded? Sure is pretty, and I agree with Vaughn about how the spirals mirror the grain, very well played!

here you go a WIP on the spirals also another shot of the top. I have found its rather important to have this area very neat as the eye wanders up there and any stuff ups really stand out.
