OK, I'm not a hockey fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I still think it's pretty cool that my hometown team just won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. And they beat the top three seeds in the Western Division to do it. It was a good series for the finals, and New Jersey had a great comeback that nearly painted LA into a really tough corner. Tonight, though, the Kings really put the hammer down.
The last time I paid any attention to hockey was one year back in the '90s when the Kings were in the playoffs, but they never did make it to the big dance. This time, they made it all the way.
