    anyone use a Slingbox?

Just daydreaming a bit, aka putting the cart ,harness and all of the rest of the hardware in front of the horse, I'm an admitted tivo junkie, and if I'm going to be on the road much of the time, after my family, and my woodworking tools, directivo will be one of the things I'm going to miss. I have two units in the house, and I'd gladly dedicate one unit to a slingbox so I could access it from my motel when I'm traveling. Has anyone got a Slingbox and if so, how do you like it?

Ned, I don't, but I know a lot of guys I work with do...

    Go to this forum...

    www.airlinepilotforums.com

Go to the cargo section, and ask there.

You may have to register, but you can use a callsign if you want.

I hear it works really well from the Far East. Guys use it to watch/control their home TV's from their laptops.

    Ned,
Check out the TIVO website. www.tivo.com You might be able to download TIVO Desktop and access your TIVO with no Sling Box.
    Congrats on the new job.
