    spalted tulip poplar

Here's a bookmatched piece of spalted tulip poplar I cut the other day. I was shocked at how red it was. Click image for larger version.

ID:	68630 The red has faded some, now it's more of a pink color, but it's still cool looking. You never know what you'll get till you get inside. Each board is 7 3/4 x 20 x 1 1/8. It's thick enough to resaw again but the back shows a lot of just green poplar.Click image for larger version.
