A little segue here: Carol, what kind of resaw blade do you use?

Just to put some closure to this thread, i found my problem in one go. Bent blade. I suspect in my usual haste i bent this blade when i removed it as it was going through the slot in the table. I am pretty angry with myself for not having stopped to check it out when i needed. Dang rush rush rush gets a little tired. I had plenty of spare blades but did not want to get distracted diagnosing the problem at the time. It would have not even taken 10 minutes to stop and swop the blade out dang.

My Delta bandsaw has a little flap under the table that always snags me when i remove a blade I gotta develop a proper blade removal and install manner of working. I hate waste with a passion and this blade was brand new. Oh well cheap lesson could have been worse.

On a brighter note the machine is cutting wonderfully with the new bearings still have to finish my mobile base which i abandoned 70% of the way there. Will report on that when done and its merits.

Sorry Bruce, this post slipped by me. I ordered up a Timberwolf AS-S 3/4" 3 TPI designed to cut veneer for PSWoods. Yes, I could have gotten something cheaper, but I know the owner of the company personally. I like her and want to support her business. Have for more than 15 years now, even though her daughter has taken it over mostly. And arguably there are other blades that do as well, maybe even better. But this is what it is. I know I will get a blade that will do the job as intended and do it well. I also know that I have helped another small business owner to keep her head above water. The customer service is never questioned with her. My 2 cents.

Thanks, Carol, always looking for a good recommendation. I like Timberwolf blades but have never used their resaw.
