You have probably seen his ads in the trade rags or bumped into him at a show. Damon Stathatos owns and operates Sierra Madre Sawing and Milling. Although he has a wide array of wood processing tools (Northfields, Diehls, SCMI, Tannewitz and his "small" bandsaw; a 28" Northfield) he has a DeWalt DW734 that is his go-to planer. When he saw mine advertised, he decided he needed a spare. I saw a chance to go and visit the largest inventory of exotics in the state and so, LOML and I put the planer in the trunk and drove out. Here's some pics. There should be more but the sudden over-exposure to tool-porn AND wood-porn in one full gale blast disrupted the link between my brain and my camera (that I stupidly carried all over but, seldom used). I didn't even get any shots of the larger cocobolo and zircote room . . . just stacks and stacks of it . . . my mouth went dry, my hands shook and I got dizzy . . . pic-police, please forgive me.
