    Tractor Forum / Pricing Help

I know there are some tractor people on here, so I'm going to ask for some help.

I have a Case IH 1140 compact tractor with 262 hours on it that I want to put up for sale, but have know idea what it's worth or what I should ask for it. It's a pretty basic model I think, turf tires, manual shift, NON 4wd. I'm selling because I just bought a Kubota L5030 FEL <---GLOAT!

I've been reading tractorbynet.com off and on for quite a while, so I tried to sign-up there to ask this question, but it's been almost a week and still have not been cleared to post there

So if anyone has a suggestion as to pricing or where to go to ask, I would appreciate it!
my goal in life is to be as good a person as my kids think i am

Used tractors aren't worht anything when you are trying to sell them. But they are very costly when buying. DAMHIK

I think there are a pile of us Family Woodworkers on www.mytractorforum.com. In fact I think John Deere Addict (on that site) gave me the link to this site. Its great.

By the way I got a Kubota myself and just love it.

I have no intention of traveling from birth to the grave in a manicured and well preserved body; but rather I will skid in sideways, totally beat up, completely worn out, utterly exhausted and jump off my tractor and loudly yell, "Wow, this is what it took to feed a nation!"

Actually, for years, the John Deere WAS the New Holland with a green paint job. A local fellow who was a dealer said, that at one point, Deere suddenly broke the contract with NH and they were left with many thousands of finished green tractors. It's hard to say who makes what anymore. A farm tractor might have parts from half a dozen different countries in them.
