    Black gun burl vase

ID:	69986This is aprox 7x5, and 1/8" thick. 3 Little feet i carved on the bottom. 3 coats lacquar so far, will be spraying more through out the day, also will wax and buff in a week or so. Thanks as always and c&c more than welcome. The form it self was fashioned after a vase the wife had sitting around.Click image for larger version.

    Thank you Carol, but i still don't get my gouges as sharp as i think i should. And yes thanks to you i do get them better than i did.

    SWEEETTT steve.. and the feet are added treat in my eyes.. it sure is amazing at what can be found inside a tree sometimes, even from the most overlooked ones..

    Very Nice! Keeping the top edge must have been exciting on that one. I think the feet are a cool idea (and three makes it stable!).

    That is really nice, Stephen! I like the fact that you carved feet to make it almost look like it was hovering!
