Sanding Disk paper removal

I have a 10 inch sanding disk for use on my TS. It's time to replace the sand paper. I have been attacking it with Acetone, an old chisel and a hammer. Is there a better way?

Thanks, DKT

I've always had good luck with a razor blade and goof off. Acetone evaporates pretty quickly, and the goof off seems to hang around a bit longer.

Yes, Goof Off, that's what does it! But no razor blades, I like my fingers. I found a gallon of Goof Off at our recycling center, but where can I buy it? Thanks for the suggestion.

Many glues, especially those for price tags, jar labels, stick-on restroom signs, etc., soften very quickly with lighter fluid. Soften them and then wipe off with a rag or two depending on the size.

I have not tried it on sandpaper sticky. However, I would expect it to. Just dampen with lighter fluid. Then, very easily, scrape off with a putty knife, edge of a square shank screwdriver, sample credit card, or doggone near anything else. Wipe with rag dampened with the lighter fluid and wipe dry.

Enjoy,
