I was wondering if anyone knows how to email a document to someones phone? I tried putting the phone number into the email address but it is not working.

Al, the recipient needs to have an e-mail address associated with that phone. It might be their regular e-mail address, or it might be a specific address they have set up just for their phone, or even several different addresses. (I have my phone set up to receive mail sent to about four different addresses.)

Bottom line: You need to know the address their phone, and it'll be something other than the phone number.

I've just learned how to send messages from my computer to phones of people that I know. I haven't tried to send any kind of attachment this way so I can't say it well work, but worth a try. You have know who the recipients service provider is. You my check it out. I learned from eHow here: http://www.ehow.com/how_5140350_text-cell-phone-computer.html Pretty simple.

Depending on the carrier, this might work,

Great find, both of you. I just tried it out on my phone, and it worked great in both directions. The email message shows up on the phone as a text message, but it came through as quickly as a typical text message. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it works for sending attachments, so I don't think it'll do what Al is wanting to do. I just tried to send myself a small PDF file, and the message came through, but the attachment didn't.

Still, it looks like a great way to send quick text messages and get replies to them back to your email account. I love to learn new stuff every day. :thumb:
