    Mr. McMillan Re:Pictures

    Vaughn, Can you post a tutorial on imbedding pictures into the thread page instead of the thumbnail you have to click on.

    I used to know how to do it, but when the format of the forum changed, I haven't been able to get it to work.

    There are a couple of ways I do it, but both require that the photos already be hosted on another website. In my case, I use one of my own sites, although it should also work with commercial sites like Photobucket.

    The first way is to just use the [IMG] and [/IMG] tags, with the URL of the picture in between them.

    The second way is to click the Insert Image button in the toolbar (it looks like a photo of a tree), select the From URL tab, enter the URL for the image in the text box, clear the Retrieve remote file and reference locally check box, and then click OK.

    It'll look something like this:

    One downside of posting pictures this way is that if the site they are hosted on goes down, they won't be visible to FW members anymore. If the images are attached (instead of hosted remotely), they remain in the FW database for as long as FW exists.
