coming along. I think I'm done hunting for the year. I need to get this painting done and on to the next.
 
painting getting close to completion , working detail. Maybe 15 hrs more. Anyway here is where I'm at. Next post should be done. I opted to show back ground instead of blurred back ground. I have a book that was published by a friend about 20 years ago " Contemporary Western Artist". I like to reference from the book styles of painting not actual scenery like I've seen some artist do. When I see that done is dampens my impression of the artist.

Superb, Dave!

For those of you who didn't/couldn't make it to Larry's get-together back in September, You really missed some good things. Dave brought his portfolio, and we got to see the originals of many of his drawings. The pictures here don't come close to doing his work justice. His drawings are truly magnificent, and the detail in them is amazing.
