Plain Cherry Bowl

A simple cherry bowl I made on commission. It is 14"x5" and finished with beeswax. It is the first piece I have sold with beeswax finish, I finished an oak bowl with it to practice. It looks pretty good now but I don't know for how long. It is the size and finish that the lady wanted. She is an attorney so she gets what she ordered.

Very beautiful bowl. I've heard bees wax doesn't last but haven't tried it yet. I love the look it give, soft. Very nice.

Mohammad summed it up nicely...getting a clean and classic form on a simple bowl isn't as easy as it might appear, but from here it looks like you nailed it. The wood you used looks real nice, too. :thumb:

I appreciate the comments. The picture doesn't really do it justice. I am pleased with it, but the beeswax I'm not to sure of. I usually use Minwax AO. Thanks everyone.

In my limited experiance...no such thing as a simple bowl Fred. That sure is a great size...simple and strong...you nailed it!

Nothing wrong with simple. Sometimes simple can display very nice lines like this bowl does. Great job with it, Fred!
