The name "Starrett" pretty much says it all - it's been the standard for accuracy for a hundred years. Bought a few of these for a group of us and wound up with an extra. Amazon sells it for $73 and change. I'll beat their price by $5 and throw in free shipping via Priority Mail (US only please) - $68 shipped.

The ruler is 4R - showing 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, and 1/64 gradients. The size is very convenient for your pocket or toolbox. The head is forged and hardened steel.
