    birdhouse with finial

I'm still in the birdhouse mode. I decided to practice making a couple of finials on this one. The top is spalted poplar. Over the next few days the top will get some nice pink color. The bottom is walnut.

On a side note this is my 1000th post! It only took me 6 years.

John I like your birdhouse. The light wood, the dark wood and the finials all go together well.

HOWEVER, now I'm going to have to look and see how many postings I have done.

    Enjoy,

    Hey Gabby,
    Congrats on 1000...

I like the little birdhouse... one of these days I have to try some of those my self... it'll be hard cause I'm getting to the point I have trouble seeing little bitty things up close....

When are you going to cut that burl in your avatar??

Very nice turning, John! I like the beads and coves that you turned into the top and bottom pieces.
