    Commission part 2

    This is a palm gavel for a friend at the hospital that was just promoted. The Spinal Injury dept wanted something special and asked for this. Gavel is holly, the band in the middle is where the brass plate will be afixed. Walnut base and a bunch of AO to finish. The mango pen post earlier is the other part. Thanks for looking and C&C used on the next one!

    I have never seen a gavel like that. I don't know why. It seems like it would do the job well and take up less room on a lectern or a judge's desk.

    I like the contrast between the gavel and the anvil. Pretty darn neat.
