    Piece of American History Retiring

    Kinda sad.

Received this email from my son yesterday:

"My first carrier in the Navy. I launched from her loaded to kill and came back with no ordnance multiple times. Glad to be part of her history. thought you might be interested in this article: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/01/uss-enterprise-carrier-taken-out-active-service/"

I had the privilege of boarding her and being given a tour years ago when my son flew off of her.
When the reactors are removed they well be shipped to where I live for storage, barged up the Columbia river to the Hanford site in Washington.

Just to be clear, I only got a tour, my son spent the time on her.
