How far west? Just asking, because many of my friends back east think anything past Pittsburgh is 'out west'. (I know you know better )

flying into las vegas, then driving to the grand canyon, (one item on my bucket list, or things I really want to do), then back to las vegas for a few days.
Neither of my children have been to las vegas, and theyve been really itching to go,so it worked out great for me, to have my son do all the driving from vegas and back.

    Rennie,
for others of us 'out west' is when you run out of land and there is that big funny tasting lake where the sun goes down.
