    Inside-out Ornament

Finished this one up this week. Walnut, Butternut with Red Oak finial and icicle. I didn't turn the inside deep enough so I put it in my V block and cut the holes with a Forstner bit. Then I finished turning it and sprayed it with Deft.

Sorry, Jim, it's 7" tall not counting the eye, the body is about 1.5" wide and the thinnest part of the icicle is just shy of 3/32".

Any tree would be very proud to have that beautiful ornament hanging from one of its branches!

    Very nice!

Betcha there are a lot of very tense moments making one of those.

A catch or a slip at the wrong time can put a lot of work down the drain.

This ornament's twin came to that very end, Pete. I just had one little ridge to cut and BANG! Oh well.
