    How I used some of my Spalted Hackberry....

    These are a few bowls I did from the spalted hackberry I picked up a few weeks back. Click image for larger version.

    This bowl is 12" diamete and about 4 1/2" high... I presented it at the local Holiday Market yesterday and it sold immediately....

    This one is 11 1/2" diameter and is from the same log as the one above... it got lots of looks and fondling -- my wife calls my wood bowls "fondle ware" -- hopefully I can sell it next week end.

    and a couple of "hurricane" lamps... these use the ultra-pur oil candles for the wick and oil container.

    Those are beauties, Chuck. That Hackberry sure spalted up nice.

    WOW!!
    The spalting really shows up on the larger pieces compared to small pen blanks.

    Wow that's some crazy funky wood! Great job on the bowls. I like the first one just because its a neat shape.
