Just received my 2013 Grizzly catalog. Always a sorta exciting event each year. But, this year much more so. It is much larger, starting to rival the old Sears & Roebuck catalog. Many-many new items for several craft/hobby avocations. It is very nearly a one-stop shopping reference. The company continues to amaze.
BTW, I notice most prices seem to be holding pretty well. A few have gone up but, overall, still very affordable.

The number one catalog event in my home growing up was the arrival of the Sears Christmas catalog. I poured over it for hours on end and memorized many of the pages dealing with my more favored items. Ahh, youth. Wait, I still do that, just with different catalogs!:rofl:

Got mine also. That's got to be quite expensive for them to put out. I am a paying customer so it's great to get it but I just wonder how much longer they will continue to do so. I think I have sat and looked though mine every evening this week. I see a couple things on my gotta have list!

Yeah it seems sort of silly although I do like to thumb through them .. which leads to .. yeah ok maybe its ends up worth it :D. The best catalog story I have so far is the northern tool one. They had a sale on welders a few years back so I bought a decent but not super high end MIG (large end of the small, biggest that ran on 110) plus a few accessories from them. Apparently that got me on the "special customer" list as I now get BOTH a HARDBACK catalog and an identical soft cover catalog. I don't know of anyone else who puts out hardcover catalogs anymore.. crazy.

It is expensive but Grizzly doesn't pay that much for it. Every tool in there except for their own products have to pay a co-op advertising fee. This is paid either with cash or credit on product.
I had a catalog once that cost $5.00 each to print. Because of co-op advertising I made about $3.00 for every one I gave away.

Got mine on Monday... haven't opened it yet, so guess I better get busy....looks like a lot to read in there.

According to Google Maps, Springfield, MO. is only 328 miles or 5 hours and 11 minutes away.............11 minutes  Well any way I don't think I can bop on over there just to browse around. Been there once several years ago and it is a real candy store. I'll just have to be happy with the catalog which some might consider wood porn.
