    Glaser passing

My woodturning club emailed the following:

It is with deep sadness that I pass on this news of a good friend to me and to hundreds in the woodturning community.
I received a phone call this morning from Brad Packard on the East Coast telling me Jerry Glaser died on Wednesday
January 9th. Jerry's Daughter called Brad to tell him Jerry fell and struck his head and was killed instantly. Jerry was one
of the most brilliant men I have ever known and contributed immeasureably to the development of contemporary
woodturning technology. He was a brilliant designer, engineer and inventor. I consider it an honor to have known him
    and enjoyed his dry wit.

Saw this news on Facebook. He was definitely a pacesetter in the turning tool market. Sad to see of his passing.

How sad and what a loss to woodworking!

Has anyone sent condolences to the family from FWW? Or, is there a place we could do that individually?

    In sadness,

A sad day. Anyone fortunate enough to have any of Jerry's outstanding tools will always think of him....a nice legacy.

    Wow, what a shock!

    Very sad.

Here's a link to the announcement. He was 93.

I didn't realize it until yesterday, but Jerry was a member of the turning club I belong to, the Glendale Woodturners Guild.
