I actually did a little woodworking!

Finally able to be in my shop so I had a project that needed done. I have a friend that retired at the end of January and I decided to make her a box for a retirement gift. Her and her husband live in a log cabin and decorate it accordingly, so I made a log cabin recipe box. Not a big project but was well receivedClick image for larger version.

You made the recipe cards up as well? That is a neat box, and having a box from you, I know that it is a piece of art. Great job, great imagination.

Nice looking box, Tom! Ditto on the details about how you made it.

Thanks all, I appreciate the comments Yes Jonathan I made the recipe cards also, guess I should of mentioned that and Larry, thanks for leaving the shop window unlocked (if you would leave the ladder there, makes pirating much easier) actually it is leftover from one of the cradles. The logs were made with a 3/16" radius bead bit on a 3/8" repeat and a LOT of passes on the router table (after assembly of the sides)

That's great, Tom. The beading really does the "log look" well.
