Thread: Hardwood dowels needed (maple, walnut, cedar, etc.)

Question Hardwood dowels needed (maple, walnut, cedar, etc.)

    Hello all,

I am looking to do a project and need hardwood dowels to match the wood I am using. I am looking for 5/8" x 3' or 4'.

I am in South FL and have called several of the major lumber suppliers with no luck. Does anyone know of a place? Even the best place to get them online?

    Thanks.
    So mote it be.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Jay, looking at their website it says they have a 250.00 minimum order. Did I misunderstand? That's a heck of a lot of dowels!

It's great to see an American company doing this!

John I didnt see that but back when I had my shop that was no problem I bought 25000 at a time. Give them a call they will work with you on stuff or point you to someone that can sell you the quantity you want. They make the most accurate dowels and dowel pins I ever found

Just make your own, then you have a perfect match. Just need a little sanding once they come out of the cutter.

God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
