    Tribute to a friend

My friend Ken was killed in Viet Nam. He just didn't know it until the VA tied his ALS to exposure to Agent Orange. He passed 9 years ago after enduring 6 years of his body slowly shutting down.

The pen is made from a .30-06 blank fired in a salute, the nib is a solid copper bullet and the top "Patriotic Swirl" acrylic. The hardware is from a Streamline kit. I have been asked why chrome with brass and it is for durability. I found a laser engraver that is going to do the top for me.

If you need laser work, check out www.MarkedByImagination.com. I have no financial interest in the business, just impressed by the owner.

Very touching and powerful tribute. A darn nice pen to boot.

    Well done!

Beautiful tribute to a friend. I was in Nam and my friend and high school classmate is dealing with that now.

    Thanks for showing the tribute.
