My four year old Makita 1016 SCMS developed an interesting problem: The rotating table dropped about 3/32" below the fixed table, and became a bit hard to turn. Made cutting short pieces totally inaccurate.
Turns out, it was a broken 'slide plate' under the rotating table. So a $2.33 part rendered a $600.00 saw inoperative. I ordered the part from E-Replacements, $2.33 for the part, and $6.38 for shipping (!), got the part a few days ago, and installed it. All fixed, and working like new again.
Disassembling/reassembling the saw was a bit of a chore, though!
Just thought I'd pass this along in case any of you develop a similar problem with yours.
Makita Part #451012-0, btw.
