I just wanted to take a minute to relate a good experience with Jet customer support. I am sure that if it had been a bad experience (which seems to be the norm with many companies), I would have been on here complaining so I should talk about the good ones too. I recently bought a new Jet 1642 lathe. I found that the headstock and tailstock centers is not match exactly, missed by about 1/32". I sent an email explaining the problem and they quickly responded and asked me to call the support line. It took a while to have an opportunity to call. We were in the process of buying a house and moving. I finally called last week and explained the problem. The rep asked a couple of questions about how the alignment was off. He told me to extend the adjustable foot on the right front a little bit. I did so and the alignment was perfect. Simple solution to what I thought was going to be a big issue.
Anyway, kudos to Jet customer support.
