How is the DEWALT DW745 Table saw?

I am looking for a compact ts and have been looking at this one.

Does anyone have one or used it?

Are there better options at the same price?
    So mote it be.

That was my first official TS. Works great and did everything a small saw should do, long as you didn't force it. So good it even took the end of my thumb off.

Rule of thumb is if you donít know what tool to buy next, then you probably donít need it yet.

I have one that I use as a jobsite saw. It works very well for my needs.

I have one of each the 745 and the 744X. Both have been very good saws and I would recommend them
How ever if this is to be your only saw I would spend the extra and get the 744X it has a better miter and also has storage for said miter. Where as the 745 has an elcheapo miter and no place for it to ride.

I like your saw cart, Wayne.

Shawn, you've got two guys who make a living with that saw giving it good reviews. That's a pretty good endorsement.

Thanks guys. Sounds good...other than the thumb thing.

Just looked up the 744x it seems to have a 24" capacity vs. the 16" of the 745.
    So mote it be.

Well, I accept full responsibility for the thumb. The saw was just an instrument.

Thanks, Vaughn. It sure is easier on my back. Just roll it out, plug it in, and I'm ready to go!

Yes it does. But it is a bigger saw Best thing about the 745 is it fits on the staging Not too many TS fit on staging planks.

Thanks, I'll take a look at both of them. I don't know if I really need a bigger one or not.
