Makita 3530a Chainsaw Running Erracticaly ?

I have a 14" Makita 3530a electric chainsaw. I have had it 2 yrs and it has been put to the test and has been a good chainsaw so far... Lately it has been running erratically.. Hesitates to start, have to tap it sometime to start...lol.....I thought it was the brushes so I put new ones in (the old ones really didnt look like they needed changing but I changed them anyhow.) still the same results...I have always used a heavy drop cord and used it close to the shop...Any help is appreciated !!

Likely a dirty commutator on the armature. You'll need to disassemble the motor to clean it off with a bit of 400 grit sandpaper.

I was a carpenter / joiner for 150 years, so electrics & mechanical stuff is all foreign to me.

Can I suggest you take it in for a service as this saves heaps of hassle.

    But that's just my thoughts

I'm going to get in trouble with some here for this idea..........
Just squirt liberally everything you can see and places you can't see with WD-40.
