I have a 14" Makita 3530a electric chainsaw. I have had it 2 yrs and it has been put to the test and has been a good chainsaw so far... Lately it has been running erratically.. Hesitates to start, have to tap it sometime to start...lol.....I thought it was the brushes so I put new ones in (the old ones really didnt look like they needed changing but I changed them anyhow.) still the same results...I have always used a heavy drop cord and used it close to the shop...Any help is appreciated !!

I was a carpenter / joiner for 150 years, so electrics & mechanical stuff is all foreign to me.:doh:

Can I suggest you take it in for a service as this saves heaps of hassle.

But that's just my thoughts
